Here are some questions and answers that customers have asked us.
What are your prices?
We cannot give prices over the phone and we will need to survey the carpet/fabric/flooring to be cleaned. A price will be given at the survey stage and visit to the property. This is a free no-obligation quotation. The cost will be determined by the item(s) requiring to be cleaned and size along with the fibre type, soiling and if there are any stains. The price you will be quoted will be the final price you pay. We do not charge VAT.
How long are your drying times?
Drying times vary on the type of fabric being cleaned and environmental factors such as heating and humidity. As a guide our high-powered truck mounted cleaning system will leave many fabrics and carpets touch dry in about 1 hour with an average drying time of 4 hours depending on the above factors. With upholstery we do like to clean then in the morning so that they are 100% dry for you in the evening to use.
How long will it take to clean my carpet?
This will depend on the size of the carpet and what process is required. An approximate time will be given when we visit to survey the carpet and provide you with a quotation.
How competitive are your prices?
We are very competitive on our costs for the premium service that you will receive. We are certainly not the cheapest – however, we are professionally trained and accredited, we use the best professional equipment on the market from our vacuums to pile lifting and agitation equipment through to our extraction machines. We carry out a free no-obligation quotation to inspect and test the flooring/fabric to be cleaned. Floors are protected leading to the work area(s) and outside shoes are replaced with indoor work shoes. Safety signs are displayed in required areas. Furniture is carefully moved and special foil tabs or blocks are placed under the feet or base of furniture to protect the carpet and the furniture after the clean. We take pride in every single job we undertake. We are fully insured for every aspect of cleaning that we undertake. When In Depth say professional – that is exactly what you receive.
How long will my upholstery take to be cleaned?
As with carpets, this will depend on what size the upholstery is and how much attention the soiled areas require. An average time for a 3 seater settee and 2 armchairs is 3 ½ to 4 ½ hours.
Is In Depth a franchise?
No we are not a franchise. We are a family run business based in Shrewsbury. Chris Phillips is the founder and owner/operator of In Depth which has now been running for over 15 years. Chris will be carrying out your professional cleaning; it is reassuring to many of our customers to know this. For your peace of mind, Chris is DBS checked. In Depth are proud to portray our professional image both with our company van and the uniformed technician.
Do you move and replace furniture?
Yes we can move furniture as long as it is physically possible. We ask customers if they are able to move small items off the areas to be cleaned. We move settees and loose cushions and cabinets as long as they do not contain breakable items. We then replace them and protect them with block or foil tabs underneath to protect the newly cleaned carpet if this is required.
Will you guarantee to remove all stains?
In short the answer is no. Some stains can be hard to remove due to the nature of the stain and what the fabric or pile is made of; also how long the stain has been there and what ‘off the shelf’ treatments have been used on it. In Depth are trained in advanced spot and stain removal – we guarantee that we will do our upmost to remove the stains.
